Engagement
rings are never taken off and are exposed to daily wear and tear
over many years. By the time our workshop gets to see these engagement
rings they are
usually in
dire need of some serious repair and restoration.
Our first objective is to
carefully examine these engagement rings on our premises under magnification. Primarily we look for
missing stones, chipped stones, loose stones, worn claws, damaged or bent sections
and any other areas of concern.
During the course of our
examination, if we notice any design or constructional defects that may
have contributed to premature wear, we advise the customer to have these
corrected as part of the repair process
Before our goldsmiths commence
the job,
we give the customer a full explanation of what work is required to repair
and restore their engagement rings to original showroom condition. We provide a
fixed quote for this work and only proceed once we have obtained consent
to do so.
